Lahore: Additional Director (AD) Operations Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) Usman Ahmed made notification of the digitisation of valuation table data for properties at all record centres of the PLRA; with the initiative aimed at ensuring the complete corroboration of imposed property taxes — at the time of property transfers — with the updated valuation rates.
The AD made this revelation during the authority’s meeting that was chaired by PLRA Director General (DG) Muazzam Iqbal. The session was told that Enterprise Resource Planning System has been introduced at the PLRA in order to improve its performance.
The meeting further discussed matters regarding the payment of bills for private companies — with attendees agreeing that unnecessary delays should be avoided in this regard. In addition, various projects currently being executed by the PLRA were also reviewed, including work on development schemes, land record centres, and mobile land record centres.
The PLRA DG took the opportunity to appreciate the role of the authority’s IT department in improving the efficiency of the PLRA, and directed that this positive work should continue in the future.
