Pakistan has Made face masks, sanitizers, protective gowns, goggles, ventilators and Scanners for Medics

Islamabad: Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal recently revealed that Pakistan had begun manufacturing personal protection equipment (PPE), including face masks, protective gowns, and goggles, to assist local front line medics and law enforcement agencies in the combat against COVID-19.

The minister of science and technology Fawad Chauhdry said that Pakistan was producing four thousand litres of sanitizer per day, along with large quantities of PK-95 face masks – Pakistani made equivalent of N-95 masks. Additionally, she informed that about 171 dysfunctional ventilators were also repaired and made functional.

Furthermore, Jalal said that the National Radio and Telecom Corporation (NRTC) was negotiating a collaboration with an American company for the additional manufacturing of ventilators. She said that work on thermal cameras was in progress, while the manufacturing of walk-through gates was already in progress.
