KARACHI: The MDA has decided that the housing schemes in different areas of the Karachi city, which have been awaiting completion for years, will be made operational soon.
According to sources, an important meeting was held in the office of Malir Development Authority (MDA) under the chairmanship of Director General Muhammad Sohail in which important decisions were taken regarding various housing schemes including relinquishment of land from the mafia.
The meeting decided to launch an operation to end Mafia’s occupation of MDA lands. In a joint operation against Mafia, police and Rangers will be called in to help in capturing various schemes of MDA. Strict action will be taken against the makers of the schemes.
The meeting also announced to make the housing schemes for the people of Karachi operational soon, and it was decided to complete the allotment of Shah Latif Town Scheme, New Malir Housing Scheme, Taiser Town Scheme 45 soon.
Good news was also given to the ad hoc and contract employees of MDA. A committee has been constituted to make these employees permanent. A 6-member committee should prepare recommendations for making the employees permanent and submit them to the Sindh government. Will
