Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) asked the allottees of plots in LDA City (Phase-I) to deposit the instalments of development charges before the deadline (June 15) or face a mark-up fine of 17.5%.
The warning was issued after the LDA decided against another deadline extension in the cut-off date (June 15) as the original deadline was April 7 – which was extended to accommodate LDA City members amid the ongoing countrywide coronavirus crises.
According to the LDA spokesperson, the authority has requested the LDA City members to make their payments on time to avoid the mark-up on late payments. He highlighted that late payments might slower the pace of the developmental work and escalation in developmental costs of the road network and other infrastructure. He added that it can also cause a delay in handing over the plots’ possession to the allottees.
