Lahore: 12 people, including women and children killed in a horrific fire at the factory

The dead included five members of the same family, including two children, two women and one male.

At least 12 people were killed and several injured in a factory fire in the Ferozewala area.

A fire broke out at a private dining factory near Amamiya Colony in Firozwala, Lahore, which wrapped up the entire factory while watching. The fire killed 12 people, including women and children, and left several injured. Many of the injured are in critical condition, fearing an increase in casualties.

The dead included five members of the same family, including two children, two women and one male.

The intensity of the fire was so great that a building inside the factory had collapsed, while the roof and walls of an adjoining house had collapsed and other houses also had cracks. All adjoining homes were evacuated due to security measures.

There was also a laborer’s residence on the upper floor of the factory. Due to the high intensity of the fire, relief activities experienced difficulties and the fire was controlled after several hours of labor. According to preliminary investigations, a cylinder explosion at the factory caught fire.
