In an interview with a TV channel, the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has categorically stated that the government will complete its tenure and the next general elections will be held on time, reported Radio Pakistan.
He said that the people of the country will elect their representatives on the basis of performance in the next general elections.
To a question about FATA, he said PML-N government started work on FATA reforms and it will take it to a logical conclusion. He said the issue should be resolved through consensus. He said the government is committed to bring FATA into the mainstream.
Replying to a question, the Prime Minister said that the overall law and order situation in all parts of the country particularly in Karachi has significantly improved.
To a question, he said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor project is the biggest investment in the history of the country. He said it is not a mere road connectivity project but a long-term development process for the prosperity of the country initiated by collaboration between Pakistan and China.
